Lineup
NASCAR’s Next Gen Car faces its first road course test of the season on Sunday at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
With dry conditions expected, drivers and teams should finally have a proper reading on the serpentine 3.41-mile circuit – something they were denied last year, when incessant rain curtailed the inaugural Cup race at COTA.

Odds
Kyle Larson and the No. 5 team captured the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series championship, and the oddsmakers at the Kaiser Sportsbook list him as the 5/2 favorite (bet $100 to win $250) to repeat in 2022.
We haven’t had a repeat winner in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2010, so the trends are against Larson.

Picks
Practice and qualifying for today’s NASCAR Cup Series Ecopark Automotive Grand Prix (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX) produced some surprising results.
Heavy favorites Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson both failed to make it to the final round of qualifying. Additionally, neither driver posted practice time inside the top 15.
The books have been slow to adjust, with Elliot and Larson still heavily favored.
The Action Network’s NASCAR Bet Center shows that both drivers have a 500 or less to win across the industry.
These short odds mean that many betting opportunities arise in many markets.
That’s exactly the angle I’m looking for with today’s best NASCAR bets for COTA
