Over The cap

ESPN’s Mike Rees notes that at least the cap-strapped Patriots took up a little cap space in the move.

Harry has never been up for a first-round promotion after being kicked out of Arizona State by the Patriots in 2019 with the 32nd overall pick. He was called Deebo Samuel, AJ. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, and Terry McLaurin, each of whom have become No. 1 receivers for their respective teams. Meanwhile, Harry struggles to see grounds for the Patriots.

And when he saw the field, Harry struggled to build on his three seasons in New England. His best season came in 2020 when he made 33 receptions for 309 yards. He ended his Patriots career with just 57 catches for 598 yards and four touchdowns in 33 games.

Harry has been slowly dropped from the depth charts over the past three years, and veteran DeVante Parker is joined by Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne and Jacoby Meyers – and with the Patriots drafting tycoon Thornton in the second round. – The now 24-year-old had no place on the New England roster.

Drop

It was another afternoon to forget Harry, 32nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, finished with two catches for 15 yards and a hard drop to defeat the Buffalo Bills 33-21, but playing three offensive snaps. For the Patriots though.

But even after the drop, which came first and 10 for New England in the middle of the second quarter, quarterback Mac Jones continued to watch Harry’s path, including the next game—when the ball was hit by A.J. Intercepted by Klein and Micah Hyde.
