Monte Robert Morris is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones.

The difference between Monte Morris in October and Monte Morris in December is palpable.
When the Denver Nuggets first began their season against the Phoenix Suns on the road, Morris scored nine points on three three-pointers.
He looked pretty good shooting the ball, but over the first few weeks of the season, it became clear that Morris’ outside jumper was hit or miss. His true value was in how he would navigate the pick and roll, set the table for himself and others, and function within a team defense concept.

The Denver Nuggets (19-18) defeated the Sacramento Kings (16-25) at Pepsi Center on Friday as Nikola Jokic recorded a 33-point double-double.
Jokic added 10 rebounds to his statline and was three assists shy of a triple-double. The league’s reigning MVP delivered one of the best dimes of the season, setting up JaMychal Green’s easy dunk with a no-look pass that came after his second blocked shot of the night.

Will Barton and Aaron Gordon each had 10 points to end the night while Monte Morris and JaMychal Green both added a 13-piece.
Jeff Green scored 18 points in 16 minutes off the bench and Nah’Shon Hyland added 13 points in 16 minutes.
Nuggets controlled the entire game, ending the first quarter with a 12-point lead and getting it as high as 21 points. Both teams ended the night with similar stats across the board, except for points in the paint, where Denver outscored Sacramento by 26.
