NFL football is back, and with it comes another season of Monday Night Football.
There are some significant differences with Monday Night Football this season. Most notably, Joe Buck and Troy Ekman have joined Fox after 20 years airing Call of Games. The normal Monday night doubleheader in Week 1 was also moved to Week 2 this year.
In addition, “Manningcast”, an alternate broadcast starring Peyton and Eli Manning, is back for a second season with 10 broadcasts for ESPN 2.
Highlights
11:33 PM – It does for our live coverage. The Chiefs lead 4-1 with a thrilling 30-29 win over their division rivals, the Raiders.
11:28 PM – Awesome. She was the heck of a football game. There were too many important moments that could have changed the outcome. In the end, perhaps the biggest of them all was a back-breaking defensive holding penalty on Las Vegas that converted an empty Chiefs possession into a touchdown. On the other hand, if the raiders had won with a field goal, the scrutiny would have been for spoiling the passer’s call in the first half.
11:27 PM Final – It’s all over. Kansas City knelt outside the clock to take the win.
11:23 PM Turnover at Down – Raiders go for another deep shot at 4 Down, but Renfro and Adams collide on their routes and the pass remains unfinished! The Chiefs are going to hang on to win the game!
11:21 PM – Adams couldn’t put both feet down and the pass is incomplete. This sets up a 4th and 1st with the game on the line.
