Where did go to college
Trubisky redshirted her first year in North Carolina in 2013. He played ten games in 2014 as a backup for starter Marquis Williams. He made his collegiate debut in Williams’ relief against the Liberty Flames in a 56–29 win. In the game, he was 10-in-16 for 66 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He threw his first career touchdown to tease Jack Tab in the third quarter.
Trubisky appeared in North Carolina’s bowl game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at the end of the season. In the 2014 Quick Lane Bowl, he was 7-of-9 for 65 yards and a touchdown, a pass to receiver Kendrick Singleton in a 40-21 loss to the Scarlet Knights. For his freshman season, he completed 78 of 42 passes for 459 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions.
As a sophomore, Trubisky again served as Williams’ backup, appearing in nine games in the 2015 season. He served in the North Carolina A. made his season debut against.
Contract steelers
This all led to the Pittsburgh Steelers awarding Trubisky a two-year, $14.28 million deal with $5.25 million guaranteed.
This contract caps him just $3.66 million next season. That cap number will rise to $10.6 million in 2023, but it’s still too low for a starting QB if he gets one, and his dead cap rises to $2.6 million in Year 2. Makes it easily deductible if it’s not a starter.
