Trubisky eventually required off-season shoulder surgery to repair the damage. Possible right shoulder a/c joint sprain, week 8, missed 2 games. However, Adam Schaffter reported that he injured his rotator cuff and labrum similar to 2018, although the report above stated that he injured the A/C joint.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday that Trubisky suffered a right shoulder injury after losing to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, sources with no knowledge of the situation said.
Trubisky made a play in the first quarter, a QB keeper on a read-option play, and was tackled by linebacker Alex Enzalon. Trubisky flipped the ball to the officials, jogged, and never saw the field again.
Garafolo said it was unclear when he alerted the bear to the injured thrower’s shoulder. The QB is being evaluated to see how significant the injury is, but Chicago is concerned that there may be significant structural issues in his right shoulder.
Garafolo reported that Trubisky is likely to be sidelined for at least a few weeks, until the end of this month. With Trubisky Down, the Bears are bringing in Kyle Slaughter and Jake Ruddock for a workout, NFL Network’s Tom Pelicero reported per transaction wire.
