Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady continues to let down his guard and shows off his sense of humor even more.

In the latest webisode of “In the Current,” a behind-the-scenes look at the team-produced Buccaneers, Brady roasts Tennessee Titans head coach and former New England Patriots teammate Mike Wrabel during joint practice last month.

Brady said with a straight face, “Mike kind of has a hole if you know him.” “He went to Ohio State. Obviously I don’t like him.”

The two were teammates for eight seasons in New England and are still close friends.

“We have a healthy competition, even though he’s fat and out of shape. Physically, he’s in a really sad state,” Brady said.

“I know you guys are moving on, but it’s good to see Brady take him to another Super Bowl,” Wrabel joked.

It’s clear that Brady’s remarks were reverted to this tweet, sent during practices where he referred to himself as a “favourite former patriot” of Brady’s son, Jack.

From Tildaddy Where do you rank Mike Wrabel among other NFL coaches right now? He’s not a big plan guy, but as far as a culture-building type of coach is concerned, he’ll have to go there. Mike Vrabel

Tildaddy, let’s start with the facts…

• Wrabel holds a winning record for the Titans throughout his three seasons, making the playoffs twice and the AFC title game in 2019. She is 8-2 in Season 4 so far. Mike Vrabel

• His career winning percentage among active coaches is .629, behind only Matt LaFleur (.783), Bill Belichick (.676), Sean McVay (.662) and Mike Tomlin (.639). Like LaFleur and McVay, his sample size is still relatively small. But four years is nothing.

• He effectively knocked out the Titans from Marcus Mariota in 2019 and helped revive Ryan Tanhill’s career when no one wanted the former Dolphins. Mariota, of course, was the second pick in ’15. Usually, it takes some time for a franchise to recover from being struck out at that high position in the draft. Varabel helped accomplish this without incident.
