Suffers medical emergency

Mike Tyson: Suffers medical emergency| Hospitalized

Mike Tyson suffered a medical complication on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday, his representatives confirmed to The Post on Monday.

“Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing very well,” Tyson’s representatives told The Post in an email. “He started feeling nausea and dizziness due to ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He appreciates the medical staff who were there to help him.”

In Touch Weekly provided the first description of the scary scene, dubbing it a “palpable medical scare.”

“Mike had some type of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics were on board,” a source told the outlet. “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor – the message even came up on everyone’s screens.”

The publication did not know that Tyson, 57, had been removed from the flight, which was delayed two hours in Miami.

In their email to The Post, Tyson representatives clarified that the delay was caused by an air conditioning problem, not medical care for Tyson.

According to In Touch Weekly, about 30 minutes before the plane landed in Los Angeles, passengers heard an announcement for medical professionals.
