Stats without booker
Devin Booker had 25 points, 12 assists and a career-high six steals to help the NBA-leading Phoenix Suns beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 124-104 on Thursday night.
Booker played a point guard with All-Star Chris Paul and fractured his right thumb. Booker finished with a season-high assist total.
Cameron Johnson and Mikael Bridges added 21-21 points for the Suns. He has improved to 49-10 with eight consecutive wins and 19 out of 20.

Draft trade
Mikael Bridges wasn’t feeling the brotherly love from the Philadelphia 76ers, but he found a “father figure” in Phoenix.
The Sixers selected Bridges over Villanova with the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. It “felt like a dream” that the Pennsylvania native was going to play in his hometown, his mother, Tyneha Rivers, who worked as the Sixers vice president of human resources at the time, told USA Today Sports.
“Growing up watching the Sixers with my father and seeing my son play for my childhood team. It was wonderful,” Rivers said.
But the Hollywood made-up story turned into an “emotional rollercoaster” minutes later. “The calls from my son’s agents were buzzing,” Rivers said. “He looked at me and said Mikel was done. I said, ‘What? Where?'”
