Steroids
Cabrera has been one of the top producers in baseball since entering the league eight seasons ago. He has hit less than 30 HR only once in his career and is considered one of the top pure hitters in Major League Baseball. It would be a shame if all this was ruined because of an alcohol problem.
Just last week, Cabrera was charged and arrested for DUI. This was not the first instance where law enforcement had to take action due to an alcohol-related incident and it appears Cabrera has been drinking himself while out of the league.
The good news is that he is trying to find a solution to his problem. He is apologetic and is surrounding himself with the right personnel to ensure that an accident like this never happens again.
Unlike the other players mentioned in this article, this is a story that is yet to unfold. Fortunately, Cabrera is taking all the necessary steps to get on the right foot.
World Series
If there’s one accomplishment more important than the Triple Crown during a player’s career, it’s winning the World Series. Cabrera had a chance to win the Commissioner’s Trophy with the Marlins in 2003, his first MLB season.
Glove
He debuted with the Mariners in 1994 at the age of 18, then made the All-Star team 14 times, won three MVP awards, two Gold Gloves, 10 Silver Sluggers, a batting title, and became a World Series champion. With the Yankees in 2009.
Kids ages
The eldest of Cabrera’s children is 16-year-old Rosengel Brissell. He has a younger sister, Isabella, 10, and a brother, Christopher, born in 2011.
