What is doing now
Michael Jordan may be the greatest player in the history of basketball, and depending on who you ask, he may be the greatest athlete of the 20th century. Despite being nearly two decades away from his playing days, Jordan remains in the limelight, as he has done in the game of basketball and as a business mogul.
There are some things to be said about Jordan as a basketball player that haven’t been said a million times already, but his post-game career could be just as impressive.
Of course, you can’t talk about Jordan off the basketball court without talking about what Jordan’s Nike brand has done. A gamble by an up-and-coming shoe company out of Beaverton, Oregon in the ’80s took a gamble on a great, but not-yet-legendary Jordan, Adidas even tried to sign him. Now, Jordan’s is a multi-billion dollar brand with its own advertisements that extend beyond the basketball court.
The cost of his shoes continues to rise, and the sneaker industry is still as big as it was before. Jordan’s shoes, both old and new, are selling for $200, $300, and far more.
The re-release of the classic shoes would see sneakerheads across the country line up outside shoe stores as of Black Friday, and their shoes were even featured prominently in the 2018 hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Mansion
Michael Jordan opted to build one of the largest mansions in the Chicago suburbs. Years later, the five-time MVP listed the seven-acre property for $29 million. It may seem like many people’s dream is to live in a house built by the greatest player in NBA history, but apparently, that’s not enough to take the property off the market.
For almost a decade the mansion has been struggling to find a buyer, even though the asking price has almost halved. Come learn more about this vast estate and why it has been difficult for His Airness to sell a home.

Coming from the ground, you can quickly tell that the property belongs to an NBA legend; His iconic number 23 is welded onto the gate. After a long drive from the entrance, 40-foot mangroves surround the property and provide privacy for the home. The outdoor space is undoubtedly impressive and is spread out with a tennis court, an infinity pool, and a putting green.
Like the exterior, the interior of the house also proves to be spectacular. The three-level mansion has nine bedrooms, 15 full baths, a three-bedroom guest house, four baths, and a 14-car garage. The mansion has several dining rooms and living rooms. As Home Bunch reports, guests can enjoy eating at a Baghdad table in one of the dining rooms. In addition, one of the dining rooms has a huge aquarium built into the wall.
Unsurprisingly, the centerpiece of the house is a full-size basketball court with Jordan’s name on both ends and the Jumpman logo in the center. Other notable features in the place include a gourmet chef’s kitchen, cigar room, wine cellar, full gym, library, and a set of doors from Chicago’s original Playboy mansion.
Happy birthday
The 1998 playoff shootout against the Jazz cemented his reputation as a clutch player throughout the league.
The Bulls’ best chance to win a close game and make the playoffs came from Jordan. So, he always asked for the ball when it mattered the most.
As a result of Jordan’s playoff performance, he has the second highest scoring score in NBA history.
He ranked fifth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant.
Michael Jordan Olympic Gold Medalist
Jordan won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. In addition, he led the team in scoring at an average of 17.1. In addition, Black was a member of Wall Street’s own Wayman Tisdale team.
A member of the “Dream Team”, Jordan earned his second gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
