Player ratings
Threatened to back down but a shot was saved and he was again quite prudent with the ball. 6
Jadon Sancho
United’s best and most creative player, Sancho again gave Fernandes a chance and then Dalot played for Martial’s goal. 7
Anthony Elanga
Apart from an inswinger, he made no intentional contribution to the attack. Inadvertently assisted Marshall brought it to a 2-1 draw. 5
Anthony Marshall
Capturing a loose ball in the right place at the right time and putting United forward with the striker’s nose is not synonymous with Marshall. 6

Ethan Laird
Aaron played ahead of Wan-Bissaka but could not leave much mark. 6
eric bailey
Another crowded performance where he was responsible for United’s second-half goal, this time assisting Rashford. 7
alex tels
Quieter night than in Bangkok. 6
Tyrell Malaysia
Similarly like Laird, he did not impose himself on the game as the tempo went to the nose. 6
Charlie Savage
Another complete run out for the midfielder, who was more defensive than Zidane Iqbal. 7
Zidane Iqbal
Another great performance from the 19-year-old, who is threatening to become the biggest young player of the tour. 7
tahit chong
A strange choice for the second half when Hannibal Mezbari and Alejandro Garnacho are on tour. Chong at least bolstered his goal. 6
donnie van de becky
Played again as 10, where Ten Haig says he has a “smell” for it. Again, Van de Beek didn’t really get a sniff. 5

Rashford is in the mood now as Malasia delivers a cute cross to the box. The England man gets up early to win the header but without enough power to trouble the keeper.
Brilliant counter attack by Vijay and the shot is not far away. Brooks lets his fresh foot slip away from United’s midfield into Velupillai, but he snatches the shot and it flies to the near post.
He hasn’t really done anything since coming, but Marcus Rashford has done a lot in the game now and has a lovely finish to lead United 3-1.
Bailey, minutes after almost letting the opposition in, atones by pushing forward and sliding Rashford away.
The striker’s pace is electric and runs high before a clean finish for weary defenders.

Manchester United began their pre-season tour of Australia with a 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory on Friday.
After beating Liverpool 4-0 earlier this week, the Red Devils were brought back to earth in the fifth minute at the MCG as Victory opened the scoring through Chris Economidis.
United would go on to dominate their possession, but struggled to capitalize on any clear chances until a distracting effort from Scott McTominay struck Victory goalkeeper Paul Izzo in the 43rd minute.
A few minutes later, another gift was given to Anthony Martial when the ball went to him just a few meters from the goal.
