Mexico:

The World Championship leader had been hot favourite to secure pole position for the Mexican Grand Prix, but instead will start the race only third.

The first set of flying laps in Q3 put Valtteri Bottas on provisional pole ahead of Lewis Hamilton, with Verstappen and his Red Bull team-mate and local hero Sergio Perez surprisingly only P3 and P4.

When did join F1:

2014

Arriving as Formula 1’s youngest ever competitor at just 17 years old, Verstappen pushed his car, his rivals and the sport’s record books to the limit. The baby-faced Dutchman with the heart of a lion took the Toro Rosso – and then the Red Bull – by the horns with his instinctive racing style.

Max Verstappen is on holiday, just like all other drivers and people who have something to do with Formula 1. Just before he went on this holiday he couldn’t resist giving away some quotes and stories about his cats and his relationship with dogs.

Because Verstappen is more of a cat person. This is evident in the interview below. He has a nice anecdote about how his cats try to jump over the edge of the building.

Crash:

The biggest unlucky driver

The German Autobild makes up the balance for “bad luck Verstappen.” The Dutchman has crashed out 28 times in his career so far and that is more often than Hamilton in his Formula 1 career. The Briton crashed out 26 times.

Max Verstappen has been handed a three-place grid penalty for the Russian Grand Prix after the stewards judged he was to blame for causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton at Monza.

Daniel Ricciardo:

Championship rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen crashed out of the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday after colliding halfway through the race as Daniel Ricciardo took home the victory.

The two not only went wheel-to-wheel in the lap’s opening race, but also crashed at the British Grand Prix on July 18. In that incident, Verstappen left to get checked at the hospital while Lewis went on to win.
