Matthew James Ulrich (December 30, 1981 – November 5, 2023) was an American professional football player who was an offensive guard for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Northwestern Wildcats. He won Super Bowl XLI with the Colts over the Chicago Bears during the 2006 season.

Ulrich’s cause of death was not immediately known. An online fundraiser was created for his family.

The cause of death has not been released. According to a fundraising page created for the family after Ulrich’s death, Ulrich and his wife, Alison Flickema Ulrich, had four sons, Gunther, Dalton, Boden, and Thorp. In a Facebook post, Allison Ulrich confirmed that her husband “has passed away and is in a better place.”
