Super bowl stats
It’s not an exaggeration to suggest that Super Bowl LI was the most exciting NFL title game we’ve ever seen. The game gave us both the biggest comeback and the first overtime in Super Bowl history.
The game wasn’t exciting from the start, though. At one point it appeared that the Atlanta Falcons were walking away with a big blowout victory. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were ineffective and incompetent for the better part of three quarters, and the team’s chances of winning were all but non-existent.
Still, Brady & Co. got its way back by the storm. After going 28-3, the Patriots scored 31 unanswered points and won the fifth-quarter game for the first time in Super Bowl history.

Welcome to Tuesday’s edition of the Pick Six newsletter!
At some point this off-season, we’re going to get a day where there’s no crazy trading in the NFL, but yesterday wasn’t that day. I must have been surprised because of all the shocking trades being made in the NFL this year that, in one move, the Colts landed Matt Ryan in a trade with the Falcons.
My one line takeaway from the trade: The Colts got better and the Falcons got worse.
We’re going into the details of the trade in today’s newsletter, plus we’ll take a look at several other QB moves that went on around the NFL on Monday
