Beverly — a familiar face this season on Spike TV’s show “Ink Master” — is well, familiar faces, if you can tell them apart.

Identical twins Matthew and Ryan Murray, owners of The Black Veil Studio of Tattoo and Art on Cabot Street, were featured on the eighth season of the tattoo competition show, which is now running.

Ryan and Matthew, originally from Methuen but with strong ties to Salem, have been getting tattoos for seven and four years, respectively, and said they can’t imagine doing anything else.

He has a distinct tattoo style – Gothic and Victorian elements, as well as horror film characters, are often the subjects of his work. His tattoos are also devoid of color – everything is greyscale.
