Maria Cheyenne Bell (born April 18, 1996) is an American figure skater. At age 25, American figure skater Maria Bell made her Olympic debut at the 2022 Beijing Games earlier this week, becoming the oldest American female singles skater in the competition since 1928.
And she stormed into the finals in her “Hallelujah” free skate, scoring 134.85 for a 202.30 total—enough to put her in fourth place with about a half-dozen skaters to go.
That score later slipped her to 10th place, with ROC star Kamila Valieva – who has earned Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski’s relentless displeasure at Broadcast Box over her doping scandal – finished off the podium with a free skate score of 141.93. .

Maria Bell performed as strong as she could have demanded in the free skate portion of the women’s singles figure skating event.
The 25-year-old skated to the song “Hallelujah”, scoring 136.92 in the second half of the singles event. There were a few errors in her routine, and her best jump of the routine was the Triple Lutz-Double Toe Loop-Double Loop, earning her 9.45 points.
With her 65.38 from the short program, this gave her a total of 202.30, good for 10th place.
