Madison Keys (born February 17, 1995) is an American professional tennis player. She is highly ranked as the world number 7 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), which she achieved for the first time in October 2016. Keys has played in a Grand Slam tournament final at the 2017 US Open, participated in the 2016 WTA Finals, and was a semifinalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She has won six WTA tournaments, five of which were at the Premier level, and achieved her biggest title at the 2019 Cincinnati Masters, the Premier 5 event.

Unseeded American Madison Keys advanced to the Australian Open 2022 women’s singles semi-finals by defeating fourth seed Barbora Krejcikova of Czech Republic in Melbourne on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Keys defeated 27 winners in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) to beat the French Open champions in one hour and 27 minutes at the Rod Laver Arena. Krejcikova hit 12 winners.
The 2017 US Open finalist will face either world number one Ashleigh Barty or compatriot and 21 seed Jessica Pegula in what will be her first Grand Slam semi-final in four years.
Keys’ win also means Barty will retain the world number one ranking after the opening Grand Slam of the season.

Keys is highly aggressive at all times and relies on his natural power to take time out of his opponents. She uses her serve to set her forehand and rallies the lead, and also takes heavy swings on her backhand.
Keys has started to hit the net more frequently in recent times, but is primarily a foundation player.
