Mackenzie Lynn Dern Santos (born March 24, 1993) is an American professional mixed martial artist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner. She is a former world No. 1 ranked IBJJF competitor, currently ranked 6th in the women’s divisions. He is ADCC and no gi BJJ (Black Belt) world champion. As of August 23, 2022, she is ranked 5th in the UFC women’s strawweight rankings and as of May 23, 2022, she is ranked 13th in the UFC women’s pound-for-pound rankings.

Accent
Even though Dern was raised in Arizona, she is very fluent in both English and Portuguese. During her youth, she used to travel to Brazil with her father. So that’s probably why Dern picked up the rough accent. Even now, she spends a lot of her time training in camps in Brazil.

“Before I got pregnant, I knew I’d be active. And being a mom and things like that. Just because I grew up watching my dad, I always knew what I learned from him.” was very important in my life.
