YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul announced in February 2021 that he would be relocating from his home in California to Puerto Rico.
He did this for a variety of reasons, which he spoke about in an episode of his podcast ‘Impulsive’. As he made his announcement, Paul was asked by his friends why the Caribbean island was his area of choice.
In response, Logan Paul said he had doubts about Puerto Rico and was concerned about living in a ‘Third World’ nation. Nevertheless, he fell in love with the place when he went scouting.
Logan Paul also said that the place gave him “senior year vibes” welcoming the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one.
He also revealed that he was looking for a change in his living situation and even tried looking for new homes in LA, however, that was before moving to Puerto Rico.

While the Gear itself hears the colors of Wolverine with a yellow and black figure, Paul’s photo also reveals that he will be wearing what appears to be a PSA-grade Pikachu Illustrator card in the ring. The Pikachu Illustrator card is an old promotional card given to the winners of an early Pokémon card contest. Only a few cards were made, and they are considered one of the rarest cards in existence. One such Pikachu Illustrator card sold earlier this year for $900,000, so if Paul’s card is legit, he might just be wearing one of the most priceless pieces of ring wear.
We’ll see that Paul… has an interesting history with the Pikachu Illustrator card. He bought a Pikachu Illustrator card in October for $200,000, but then discovered it was a counterfeit card. While recording a video about the counterfeit card, Paul punched a window (he claims that as a joke) and went to the hospital to get nine stitches. As the card shown in Paul’s video is PSA-graded, we’re assuming it’s not the counterfeit card he previously bought, but strange things have happened….especially when Paul is involved.
Paul has a history of wearing vintage Pokémon cards to the ring for big boxing matches. He had previously worn a graded Charizard card of his in the ring. He later claimed that wearing that card in the ring rapidly increased its value, although he never put the card up for sale to test that theory.
