Liverpool reacted and then some of their early season woes, venting their growing frustrations on a hapless Bournemouth side. The visitors were penalized from the very first whistle, and actually went to the end of the humble scoreline.

Everything that hasn’t worked yet is completely fixed. Meanwhile, a couple from Jurgen Klopp reaped heavy rewards, as Liverpool never looked upset in a defensive sense, while the attack rioted.

No one is naive enough to think that every game from here on out will be like this. But just as it should be considered a (pleasant) outlier, early issues should not be blown out of proportion. The Enfield loyalists showed their appreciation for an amazing spectacle.

Fixtures

Liverpool’s fixture schedule for the 2022–23 Champions League group stage has been confirmed.

The Reds began their Group A campaign with an away meeting with Napoli, before hosting AFC Ajax at Anfield.

They then face back-to-back games against Glasgow Rangers, and an encounter against Ajax in Amsterdam follows.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will complete the segment when they host Napoli in early November.

Liverpool’s UCL Group A fixture list (all kick-off times at 8 pm UK)

September 7 – Napoli (A)
September 13 – Ajax (HK)
October 4 – Rangers (H)
October 12 – Rangers (A)
26 October – Ajax (A)
November 1 – Napoli (HK).

News now

Maybe not this weekend, but after that Joel, Curtis, Thiago is not too far away, Diogo is getting closer, Kaomhin will be in training, I think, early next week too. So yes, positive news but I don’t think one will be ready for tomorrow.

There was a sort of indication that if a deal were to present itself, you might be able to do something in the transfer window before the deadline. Do you see any chance for that deal to present itself and it makes sense to move and add to your squad before the deadline?

I don’t know We’re really constantly working on things like this. We talked about the reasons that sometimes it’s not happening – sometimes too expensive, sometimes not the right players but then the situation changes, things like that. But one thing remains important, really important: he needs to be the right player. We are working but will see if anything will happen. I don’t know
