Lilia Camille King (born February 10, 1997) is an American swimmer who specializes in breaststroke. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke event and also won a gold medal in the 4×100 m medley relay, in which she swam the breaststroke leg. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, King won a silver medal in the 4×100 meter medley relay, a silver medal in the 200 meter breaststroke, and a bronze medal in the 100 meter breaststroke for her efforts in the prelims. He is the current world record holder in the long course 100-metre breaststroke.

Shortly after Olympic hopeful Lily King made Team USA, her boyfriend, James Wells, surprised her with a proposal.
“It’s been so amazing to watch you grow over the last four years, both in and out of the pool,” Wells said just after the 27-year-old King stepped out of the pool on Thursday, June 20. I don’t regret for a minute quitting my job and moving halfway across the country to be with us. It was great.”

Moments after swimmer Lily King qualified for her second race for the Paris Olympics on June 20, she got a big surprise — her longtime boyfriend, James Wells, got down on one knee and asked the question (he said yes. !).
King, 27, said she was completely shocked by the timing of his proposal.

King’s younger brother Alex is a walk-on swimmer at the University of Michigan. King attended F.J. Ritz High School, where the school’s swim team shared the Lloyd Pool with five other teams.
