On the sacred grounds of Nike’s world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, where buildings are named after the gods of sport and sports, the new LeBron James Innovation Center is the tallest temple.

The sprawling space is home to the latest version of the Nike Sport Research Lab, an 85,000-square-foot facility where the brand collects data from athletes to use in product design. One section houses a series of 400 cameras to track body motion, which Nike says is the largest motion-capture installation in the world. There are body scanners, environmental rooms, multiple tracks and areas where prototype sneakers can be made in less than an hour.

LeBron James and the LA Lakers visit the Footprint Center to take on the Phoenix Suns for their second preseason game. In a series rematch of the first round of last season’s NBA playoffs, the two teams will face each other twice over the next five days.

Coach Monty Williams chose not to play Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Jay Crowder in the Suns’ pre-season opener as they were one of the two teams in the league that had the shortest season.

Coach Frank Vogel did the same for the LA Lakers’ first preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. The lineup did not include LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Trevor Ariza and Carmelo Anthony. Coach Vogel mentioned in his preseason press conference that he intends to play every player, including LeBron James, by the end of the preseason schedule.

There will be ‘a handful’ of dramas where LeBron James isn’t doing well
Kyle Goon: Frank Vogel says he is moving like LeBron James is a healthy player, but admits that there are going to be some plays where he is not even walking on his ankle. He is said to have gone well in most situations.
Duane Rankin: “We’re good to go.”

Can you go over what you saw in the last game of the season in Regression? Dr. Brian Sutter: You had to zoom in really close because they didn’t see it that well, but a common, common, low-ankle sprain, a lot of us have probably done ourselves. The outer part of our ankle rolls closer to the ground. A high-ankle-sprain mechanism that occurs when the foot points outward is what we call outward rotation, so the toes point outward, and the foot sometimes rolls in the opposite direction, so the ankle rolls in. part of it moves closer to the floor. So that’s the position that LeBron’s ankle was at when he stepped on Alexander-Walker’s foot. The reason I was concerned that he replaced the original injury was the same mechanism as his original high-ankle sprain. I guess if it were a more classic low-ankle sprain, I probably wouldn’t be so worried because he’s shown us he can make them go away. But because it was the same mechanism as his original injury, I think there is concern about how healthy the ligament is going to be on Wednesday.
