How tall is
LaMelo Ball’s height has long been speculated and even rumored ahead of the 2020 NBA draft. Much of the speculation originally centered on a photograph of LaMelo standing next to brother Lonzo, in which the two appeared to be of the same height. At the time, Lonzo was listed on the Pelicans roster at 6-foot-7.
Ahead of the 2020 NBA draft, a rumor suggested that LaMelo was measured at 6-foot-6 in both height and wingspan during the predraft process.
The 6-feet, 8-inch ball is as tall as a Bismac Biombo, and Gordon Hayward, P.J. It is longer than Washington and Miles Bridge. Only a handful of team true centers – Cody Zeller, Nick Richards, Jalen McDaniel and Vernon Carey – are listed on the roster as taller than the ball.
This also means that he is taller than Lonzo and the tallest of the Ball Brothers. The official listed height of Lonzo on the Pelicans roster is 6 feet, 6 inches.
Shoes
Just a few months after making its exclusive MB.01 sneaker debut with Puma, LaMelo Ball is back with another round of hot footwear. Drawing inspiration from his team’s colors this time around – and collaborating with adult swim show Rick and Morty – the point guard has a trifecta of new MB.01 designs lined up for the coming weeks. Each has the phrases “1 in 1” and “rare” to point to LaMelo’s undeniable talent—both on the court and in the sneaker studio.
Initially launched last October, the Puma MB.01 is the player’s first signature shoe, and also the first signature shoe release from Puma Hoops since the basketball sector relaunched in 2018. Co-designed by Ball, the sneaker features a flame graphic to align its collar with the player’s famous rocket ankle tattoo (or anyone who emulates his style on the court).
Hard to miss – In mismatched neon green and pink colors, Balls Rick and Morty sneakers are the highlight of the upcoming trio. Alluding to the audacity of the show’s titular characters, the shoes feature swirling portal motifs alongside graphics of Rick and Morty’s faces. Each has branding from Rick and Morty near the eyes, while LaMelo’s own branding is reflected on the tongue and heel.
Girlfriend
LaMelo Ball’s relationship with Anna Montana seems to be taking off steam.
On Monday, the Hornets point guard showed off his rumored new girlfriend, whose real name is Analicia Chaves.
The ball included a photo showing the 33-year-old fashion influencer from behind, modeling a hoodie from her LaFrance clothing line. LaFrance is Ball’s middle name.
Chavez also took to her Instagram Story to share a photo and video — which was captured by Awesemo.com — of herself in a gray logo sweatshirt and blue knee-high boots.
Ball and Montana haven’t addressed their relationship status yet, but it’s a step up from their usual flirty exchanges on Instagram.
It is unclear when they first engaged, although Awesemo.com reports that Chaves has been criticized online for the 13-year age gap.
