The 2022 NFL Draft delivered everything from flashy outfits to stunning picks and of course blockbuster trades.
A major move included his 100th overall pick for the Baltimore Ravens trading wide receiver Marquis Brown and the Arizona Cardinals’ lone first-round pick.
The Ravens later picked Iowa Hawkeyes center Tyler Linderbaum with the No. 25 pick from Arizona.
But Lamar Jackson wasn’t too thrilled with the front office’s decision.
In March, the Baltimore star quarterback made the Browns aware of his feelings about a potential trade being sent to the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Excuse My French Real Quick Sir…But Hell Not!” Jackson wrote on Twitter.
Unfortunately for Jackson, a deal involving Brown became a reality as Jackson and his former receiver bid each other farewell.
Net Worth
Celebrity Net Worth suggests Lamar Jackson is worth around $4 million, although Spottrack says he has a four-year contract worth $9.7 million, including a signing bonus of $4.9 million and a median salary of $2.3 million. With $7.5 million guaranteed.
For 2023, his annual income is expected to be around $32.7 million, according to Sportstrack.
Jackson is also known for his philanthropy. He raised $29,000 for charity in 2018, dividing it between Blessing in Backpacks and Mission for Hope.
Salary
If the Ravens can’t reach a long-term deal with Jackson, they could put a franchise tag on him in 2023, which will pay him $43.5 million per season. A second tag team would require him to raise 120%, which would reportedly increase his salary to $52.2 million.
This equates to $118.7M over three years.
“Lamar has it with the balls, whether he knows it or not.” An NFL contract negotiator told NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. “And I get the impression that he does. They can’t take him on $23M (against the option limit of his fifth year) and do anything worthwhile in free agency. And there’s no quarterback there. . Trust me we’re seeing them all.”
Family
Lamar Jackson was born to Lamar Harrison Sr. (father) and Felicia Jones (mother). When his grandmother passed away in 2005, his father died of heart failure. When Jackson was just 8 years old, his father died. He was raised by his single mother.
