Jackson (ill) has no injury designation for Sunday’s match against the Chargers after doing all of Friday’s practice.

Jackson’s Week 6 status came into focus after missing Thursday’s practice, but his full participation on Friday paved the way for the QB to start Sunday’s 4-1 against the Chargers. Although wideout Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will not be available later this week, it is expected that promising first rounder Rashod Bateman (groin) will activate from IR ahead of the competition. For his part, Jackson would like to make a big fantasy effort in Baltimore’s overtime win over the Colts in Week 5, in which he completed 37 of 43 passes for 442 yards and four TDs, ran 14 times for 62 yards and a pair Tossed successful two-point conversion.

Jackson (illness) is practicing on Friday, Jeff Zarebic of The Athletic reports.

Jackson was absent from Thursday’s practice due to an unspecified illness, but it appears to be a minor illness as he is back on the field for Friday’s session. It is unclear whether the 24-year-old will be able to avoid injury designation altogether, but he appears on track to play against the Chargers on Sunday.

Illness

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was not around for the start of practice open to the media. Now we know the reason for this.

The Ravens’ practice report shows that Jackson was absent from an illness. He did not go on the COVID-19 reserve list on Thursday, and he missed a Week 3 practice with an illness but played nonetheless. So the worry level for Ravens Nation should remain low for now.

Jackson also missed two week 4 exercises and played with back pain.

Friday’s media availability and practice report will bring more clarity.

Tackle Alejandro Villanueva (knee), receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring), tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) and defensive tackle Brandon Williams (rest) also missed Thursday’s practice. Stanley and Watkins did not practice on Wednesday, and Villanueva was limited.

Stats vs colts

Sometimes, having the best player on the field is everything. For the Baltimore Ravens, things were not going well for their Monday night competition against the Indianapolis Colts. The Ravens went 25–9 in the fourth quarter and Indianapolis had never lost a game in that position, setting a 120–0 record according to the broadcast.

Lamar Jackson had other plans. The quarterback led the Ravens to a 31-25 victory in overtime on the night with 442 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and 62 rushing yards. Mark Andrews had 147 yards and two scores, while Marquis Brown recovered from his poor first half for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

The Ravens also had some luck, with Rodrigo Blankenship missing two kicks late in the game. The first attempt was blocked by Kallis Campbell, while the second fumbled at the end of regulation.
