No agent
He stated that he didn’t want an agent to receive 1 to 3 percent of the proceeds from his first NFL deal prior to the 2018 NFL Draft.
Jackson believed he could handle that himself because the values of NFL rookie contracts are largely fixed.
Jackson told USA Today, “I know coming in as a rookie, an agent doesn’t really negotiate anything.”
He’s going to be taking a sizable chunk out of my pay, and I feel like I deserve it at this point. “You’re going to get the salary you’re going to get,” I said, “because I’ve decided I don’t need him.”
Jackson therefore made the decision to represent himself via a number.
40 time
Lamar Jackson never ran the 40 at the Combine or a pro day, but he reportedly ran a 4.34 40-yard dash in 2017 at Louisville’s “speed day.”
Has won a playoff game
Jackson won his first playoff game of his career by defeating the Tennessee Titans in a rematch of the Divisional Round game from the year before.
In the 20-13 victory, he ran for 136 yards and a touchdown in addition to throwing for 179 yards and one interception.
