Kyren Williams: Siblings| Draft| Fantasy| Injury update
Kyren Lawrence Williams (born August 26, 2000) is an American football player who plays for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame.
Siblings
Standing with her daughter Grace, Taryn Williams watched in disbelief as she heard fans chanting her son’s name.
A fence separated those fans from the players who were leaving the Notre Dame Stadium locker room for a quick visit with their family and friends. As Kyren Williams walked forward to greet his loved ones, Irish fans began chanting the name of Notre Dame as they ran behind him.
Draft
Kyren Williams has an interesting combination of traits that will give him value if an NFL team selects him.
Williams has good vision in the run game and shows an understanding for various run concepts. He will press holes when needed or press back to allow his blocks to develop. He doesn’t dance in the backfield, and he knows when to go north.
Williams is also a good overall athlete, showing the agility and quickness to take advantage of holes created. He is a complete back who will provide immediate value on passing downs. Williams is comfortable catching the ball which displays the ability to run more advanced routes when split as a receiver. He is also a very good pass protector, has a good eye for finding potential blitzers and has the strength and physicality to take on defenders and stay on his blocks.
Fantasy
Williams continued her strong run of performances, albeit below par for her level. But, if 100 rushing yards and a score is the floor for a player, fantasy managers will take it all day. It was interesting that he wasn’t used at all in the passing game, but that game script likely played a role in it with the Rams running up the score early.
Injury update
All week, the Los Angeles Rams have been hoping for the return of running back Kyren Williams, who missed the last four games due to an ankle injury. On Saturday, that return became official as the Rams activated him from injured reserve, spotlighting a trio of roster moves.
