Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray says he will pursue a career in the NFL over playing baseball for the Oakland Athletics.

Murray was the ninth overall pick in last June’s baseball amateur draft, and the outfielder agreed to a minor league contract with Oakland for a $4.66 million signing bonus. He is a football quarterback is eligible for this year’s NFL draft, which starts April; 25.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray suffered an apparent leg injury late in the thrilling “Thursday Night Football” game between the Cardinals and the Packers, which the Packers won 24-21.

Murray was tackled from behind on a run near the end of the fourth quarter and his knees hit the turf as he came down. His right knee appeared to hit the ground first and the hardest. Murray was able to get up and stay in the game, but two plays later he threw an interception in the end zone that effectively ended the game.
