Kyle Michael Shanahan (born December 14, 1979) is an American football coach, who is the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. He previously served as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans. With the Falcons in 2016, he coordinated an offense that scored the league points and helped the team reach Super Bowl LI. Shanahan was appointed as the head coach by the 49ers in 2017, which led to an appearance in Super Bowl LIV.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan won’t get much break from the NFL during the 49ers’ goodbye week, as he celebrates his father Mike’s induction into the Broncos ring of fame in Denver this weekend.
Mike Shanahan said he made sure the Broncos scheduled the ceremony for a weekend when the 49ers had a week-long goodbye so Kyle and his family could attend. Mike was announced as the Ring of Fame before last season, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the ceremony back.
