NFL Draft

The National Football League Draft, also known as the NFL Draft or (officially the Player Selection Meeting), is an annual event that serves as the league’s most common source of player recruitment. Each team is given a position in drafting order in reverse order relative to their record in the previous year, which means that the last place the team is in first place.

From this position, the team can either select a player or trade their position for other draft positions, a player or players for another team, or for any combination. The round is completed when each team has selected a player or traded their position in the draft. The first draft was held in 1936 and has been held every year since then.
