Kurtis Kiyoshi Suzuki (born October 4, 1983) is an American professional baseball catcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played for the Oakland Athletics, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals.

Injury
A dire situation turned so positive Saturday night that Angels manager Joe Maddon said he had been told Kurt Suzuki might be available to play on Sunday.
The news came three hours after the veteran catcher was clearly in trouble on the field after suffering a neck injury from a warm-up pitch during preparation for the third innings.
“I just talked to him and he’s feeling much better,” pitcher Michael Lorenzen said after the Angels’ 6-5 loss to Toronto. “Happy for him.”

Angels catcher Kurt Suzuki abandoned Saturday night’s game against the Blue Jays after suffering a neck injury from a warm-up pitch in the third inning. Suzuki needed assistance from off-field coaches and was tested at a local hospital, where he was deemed healthy enough to return home.
According to MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger, Suzuki said on Sunday that he lost consciousness after hitting the pitch, but is now feeling fine and experiencing only general soreness. He was diagnosed with a neck injury.
