Klay Thompson underwent surgery to repair his torn Achilles on November 25, 2020. Before that, he was recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals in June of that year. Shams went on to say that he anticipates Thompson to return around December to January of this upcoming season.
Prior to his injuries, Klay was averaging 21.5 points per game and 40.2% from the three-point line. For the Warriors, Klay would bring an extra boost to a seemingly improved three-point shooting team based on preseason results.
