Klay Alexander Thompson is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He is credited as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

Over his eight-year career with Golden State, Klay Thompson has built a long list of notable performances. Game six of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 37-points in one quarter against the Sacramento Kings and 14 triples against the Chicago Bulls are just some of Thompson’s epic achievements while wearing Golden State’s No. 11 jersey.
While each is impressive for their own reasons, his effort against the Indiana Pacers in 2016 should be near the top of Thompson’s resume.
When does return:
Klay Thompson underwent surgery to repair his torn Achilles on November 25, 2020. Before that, he was recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals in June of that year. Shams went on to say that he anticipates Thompson to return around December to January of this upcoming season.
The Warriors announced on Nov. 25 that Thompson underwent successful surgery to repair the torn Achilles. As part of a team statement, Golden State said that Thompson was “expected to make a full recovery.”

With Achilles injuries typically requiring a 6-12 month recovery time, that would mean roughly a clean bill of health in November for Thompson and at this stage, the Warriors expect him to at least miss the first part of the new season, potentially not seeing the floor till early 2022.
“It’s going to be a play-it-by-ear thing,” head coach Steve Kerr said recently. “The main thing is he’s progressing well, he’s in a great frame of mind, in a really good place. It’s exciting just to think about him coming back. All the players and coaches are excited, just to know he’s on track is awesome.
