Post game interview
The Vikings pulled off an upset win over the 49ers on Monday night thanks to a dominant performance from quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Even with Justin Jefferson not healthy and on the field for Minnesota, Cousins was able to throw for 378 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Vikings to a 22–17 victory.
After the game, Jefferson was furious and crashed Cousins’ postgame interview by wearing a ‘SportsCenter Top 10’ chain around his neck.
“I’ve got to work on getting some of these though,” Cousins said, pointing to the grill on Jefferson’s teeth. “I should get that.”
Chain
Kirk Cousins has made a habit of wearing a charm chain this season to celebrate Vikings wins, and that ridiculous trend continued on Sunday when Minnesota defeated the Commanders 20-17.
Cousins played for Washington from 2012-17, and Sunday’s win was the first time he played at FedEx Field with the franchise last year.
However, if jitters were a factor for the former Michigan State quarterback, he didn’t show much of them as he passed for 265 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings extended their NFC North lead to a surprising 4.5 games. Gave.
And while the hard-fought win helped the Vikings clinch a 7-1 record and sixth straight win, the real show came back in Minnesota, where Cousins has created several viral moments this year.
