Kirk Daniel Cousins (born August 19, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Michigan State and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft as a backup to fellow rookie Robert Griffin III. Cousins appeared occasionally in games during his first three seasons before replacing Griffin following an injury in 2015, where he remained the team’s starter until 2017. Once Kirk Cousins opened the doors to Party City, the madness began.
Dozens of children headed to the store’s costume section, eager to become their favorite superhero or cartoon character for Halloween.
The Vikings quarterback purchased outfits for youth who are being assisted by People Serving People, a local shelter for families experiencing homelessness.
“It was great to see their smiles and hopefully we were able to give them a day they’ll remember for a long time,” Cousins said. “We really enjoy being able to use my platform as a football player in the NFL.
“Hopefully we can make a positive change for people, especially here in the Twin Cities,” Cousins said. “It’s a pleasure. It’s a small thing we can do today.”
