Fined $25 000:
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant was fined $25,000 for directing obscene language toward a fan in Friday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.
The incident took place with 28 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Nets’ 113-105 victory. Video of Durant cursing at the fan circulated on social media over the weekend.

It obviously wasn’t malicious. Just a mental (and physical) way of wearing out the Atlanta Hawks point guard. To the surprise of no one, Young finally had enough of Durant’s antics by late in the fourth quarter. Here is a heated exchange between the two players.
Fined:
The NBA has increasingly tried to step in and police unruly fans, along with players, to avoid any incidents between the parties. Earlier this season, LeBron James had two fans who made derogatory remarks removed from a game against the Indiana Pacers.
The fan who interacted with Durant was not removed. In the video that circulated, the fan could be heard telling Durant to “stop crying.” It’s unclear if any prior interactions took place.
The league also fined Durant $50,000 for use of derogatory language in a social media spat with comedian Michael Rapaport earlier this year.
