Kevin Leon Byrd Jr.[1] (born August 17, 1993) is an American football free safety for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in Middle Tennessee.[2] Byrd was drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In 2017, his second season in the NFL, he was selected to the Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro and was the co-leader for most interceptions throughout the season. Additionally, he led the NFL in takeaways with 10 (8 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries).

Safety Kevin Byrd had a bad year for the Tennessee Titans in 2020. In fact, it was the worst year ever since he became a regular starter.
Bayard posted a career-low 67.0 Pro Football Focus grade and proved a liability in coverage, allowing a completion rate of 73.3 percent, a QB rating of 112.6, and four touchdowns.
Byrd, who generally has one of the best safeties in the NFL, admitted that he didn’t have a good year, which was too much for the entire Titans secondary.
The only problem for Bayard is that his down year comes on the heels of signing a massive five-year, $70.5 million contract extension in 2019, which only casts the spotlight on his play.

More time near the line of the melee and less protection may have been responsible for his decline in the INT, but it also helped him prepare the biggest tackle number of his career. Bayard scored 17 more singles and a total of 21 stops than any previous season.
His playing time in each role has fluctuated from year to year, so there is room for more changes this season. But Byard has combined solid-to-strong tackle production with leading INT capability. So he’s a good bet for fantasy production in one way or another.
