Kent Johnson (born October 18, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played college ice hockey for the University of Michigan. He was drafted fifth overall by the Blue Jackets in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Obituary
Kent C. Johnson age 66, Abilene, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina.
He was born in Abilene on November 9, 1950, the son of Alvin and Dorothy (Miller) Johnson. Kent graduated from Abilene High School and graduated from the University of Kansas.
Kent has been an Abilene resident his entire life and was the owner of Earthwoods in Abilene which made cabinets and furniture. He was a member of the Community Bible Church and was fond of camping, hiking and KU basketball.
On 19 October 1991, Kent married Roberta Landers in Abilene. She lives in the house. Other survivors include her daughters Rachel Johnson of Denver, Colorado, Marisa Johnson-Stearman and her husband Travis of Abilene, Abilene’s son Seth Johnson, Denver’s granddaughter Hadley Schibout, Margot Stearman of Abilene, sister Sherry Hinkle and her husband Jim of Ray. Are included. Colorado, nieces and nephews, stepson Kevin Landers and his wife Abilene, Casey Landers and his wife Diane of Abilene, seven step-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kent’s final request is that he be cremated and later a private family service. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Bible Church or the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund of Dickinson County and sent to the care of Martin-Baker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
