Recruiting

Kennedy Chandler, the top point guard in the 2021 recruiting class, became the sixth five-star prospect in the class to announce his college choice on Friday when he committed to Tennessee. They chose to volunteer at Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Memphis.

Chandler is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but is set to play in his final season of high school basketball at Sunrise Christian in Wichita, Kansas. At Sunrise, Chandler will team up with two other top-30 prospects in boiler commitment Kendall Brown and Kansas commitment Zach Clemens.

Nba draft

Tennessee freshman point guard Kennedy Chandler was a consensus 5-star recruit and many considered him the top point guard and top NBA prospect in their graduating class. So far the Memphis area native has had a smooth adjustment to college basketball. Chandler averages 14.3ppg through 6 games, a shadow under 5.2epg3 rebounds. His energy, effort and active hands on defense have helped him make 2.7 steals per game.

Now 16 steals in 6 games is pretty impressive. But I am more impressed by the fact that 6’0′ Chandler has blocked a shot every game but also 3 dunks this season. He has more stings than some predicted lottery picks that are 10 inches long! Chandler shooting the performance and the outdoors really stood out to me. His 48/50/100 shooting split would be nearly impossible to maintain, but then those numbers would be even better if not for 1-9 shooting performance versus Villanova.

He returned 6–13 with 14 points, 8 assists and 5 rebound games the next night against Flor versus North Carolina.

Age

Kennedy stands tall with a height of 6 feet and 1 inch and weighs 74 kg. His tall stature is perfect for his role as a point guard. Kennedy Chandler was born on 16 September 2002 in Tennessee, United States. To date, his age corresponds to 18 years.
