On Friday, he gave his final sign-off as the host of the show and it was heartwarming.
Adams announced Thursday that Friday’s show would be his last. She’s following Nate Burleson, who also turned out for CBS Mornings about nine months ago. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt are still with the show.

Good Morning Football is losing another key member as The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reports that Kay Adams is leaving the NFL Network when his contract expires later this month. According to the Post, Adams appears to be a prime candidate for head of Amazon and one of the faces of their NFL coverage next season:
Kay Adams is leaving NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” and may land as the host of Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” pregame show, The Post has learned.
“Kay has been a big part of the success of Good Morning Football and we look forward to having him in the NFL media family for years to come,” Alex Rithmiller, NFL Media’s vice president of communications, told The Post.
Sources described Adams as a prime candidate to be the Amazon Prime Video “TNF” host for the show, which is expected to be on the site every week. No deal has been completed.
It’s a tough loss for GMFB, which also lost Nate Burleson last year. With Adams leaving, the program will need a new host to come up with creatively wacky segments crafted by Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, and the rest of the team. Whoever is the host would have to relocate to New York to be able to film every morning, which would naturally limit NFL Network’s options.

NFL Network’s Good Morning Football host Kay Adams has officially decided to step down from the show. Adams announced the news on Thursday via his Twitter handle. Calling it “the end of an era,” Adams tweeted that he was proud and grateful to be working on the show. Furthermore, she said that her last episode should be celebrated like a “party”.
Good Morning Football is the NFL Network’s morning television program that has been running since August 2016. Adams has been a part of the show since its inception. However, what and where Adams’ new professional journey will take place is yet to be confirmed.
