Another member of the original Good Morning Football team is leaving after Friday.

It’s NFL Network morning show host Kay Adams since the show debuted in 2016. There’s no official word on what will happen next or who will step into his chair after Friday’s final show, but it’s a sad moment for fans who have enjoyed seeing Adams every morning for the past six years.

She follows Nate Burleson, who left for CBS Mornings about nine months ago. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt are still with the show.

Here’s what he said on Thursday, revealing on Friday it would be up to him:

Kay Adams announced his official departure from Good Morning Football on May 12, 2022.

“It’s definitely nostalgic,” she said on the show. “This week, we’ve gone through so many studios and so many moments, and a million costume changes… it’s been a great ride.”

“I feel very proud of my show,” she said.

“To get to where it is now, it has to be a credible, coveted Emmy-nominated, Emmy-winning program which is a really big achievement for the four of us.”

Adams has been hosting NFL shows since the beginning of 2016 alongside Peter Schrager, Nate Burleson, and Kyle Brandt.

According to the New York Post in April, Adams may be leaving Good Morning Football to become a host on Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” pregame show — however, no deal has been confirmed.

NFL Network’s Good Morning Football host Kay Adams has officially decided to step down from the show. Adams announced the news on Thursday via his Twitter handle. Calling it “the end of an era,” Adams tweeted that he was proud and grateful to be working on the show. Furthermore, she said that her last episode should be celebrated like a “party”.

Good Morning Football is the NFL Network’s morning television program that has been running since August 2016. Adams has been a part of the show since its inception. However, what and where Adams’ new professional journey will take place is yet to be confirmed.

In addition to Adams, there are a few other hosts of Good Morning Football, including Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, Will Selva, Colleen Wolff, Michael Robinson, and DeAngelo Hall.

Illinois-based Kyle Brandt is a well-known media personality and television host. He joined the Good Morning Football Show in 2016 after working on the Jim Rome show for more than seven years. Brandt, who played Philip Kiriakis in Days of Our Lives, was born on January 24, 1979.

“I’m excited,” Adams said on the program Thursday, unsure if she’ll cry on her official final day.

“It’s definitely nostalgic,” she said. “This week, we’ve gone through so many studios and so many moments, and a million costume changes… it’s been a great ride.”

The Post exclusively reported in April that Adams was leaving “GMFB” and was a prime candidate to be the host of Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” pregame show. There was no deal at that time.

Adams said “it feels good” to announce the news of her exit from the Emmy-nominated morning show.

“I feel very proud of my show,” she said, reminiscing about the show’s debut in August 2016. “To get to where it is now, this credible, coveted Emmy-nominated, Emmy-winning program has to be a really big achievement for the four of us.”

Adams hosts “GMFB” with Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager.

“My last @gmfb is tomorrow!” He tweeted along with a video clip announcing his departure. “End of an era. Very proud. Very grateful.”
