Norway’s Karsten Warholm and the United States’ Rae Benjamin were tabbed for their best running of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and neither runner disappointed in the men’s 400m hurdles final on Monday.

Warholm won the gold medal and broke his own world record in the final with a time of 45.94 seconds, followed by Benjamin (46.17) and bronze medalist Alisson dos Santos (46.72) of Brazil. Warhol broke the previous world record, breaking the 29-year-old in Diamond League on July 1.
