Investigators said they believe Caitlin Marie Armstrong, 34, shot and killed cyclist Anna Morea Wilson, 25, who had dated Armstrong’s boyfriend when the two were on a break.

Law enforcement officials in Texas have issued an arrest warrant for Caitlin Marie Armstrong, an Austin woman suspected of killing cyclist Anna Morea “Mo” Wilson earlier this month.
According to the cycling website Velonews, Wilson was a competitive gravel and mountain bike racer and traveled to Austin in early May for the Gravel Locos Race.
She was pronounced dead on May 11 when the Austin Police Department responded to a call from a woman who said she had returned home to find her friend bloodied and unconscious. Police say Wilson was shot several times and died. She was 25 years old.
The US Marshals Service is now assisting in the search for 35-year-old Armstrong, who is suspected of killing Wilson.

The US Marshals, along with other law enforcement agencies, are looking for Caitlin Marie Armstrong in connection with Wilson’s death. On May 17, six days after Wilson was found shot and killed, the Austin Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Armstrong.

An international search continues for the suspected killer of professional cyclist Moria Wilson.
Authorities say yoga teacher Caitlin Armstrong, 34, shot and killed Wilson, 25, in a jealous rage for allegedly having an affair with Armstrong’s boyfriend, Colin Strickland, who is also a top-rated professional cyclist.
The night he was killed, Wilson was preparing for a race in Austin, Texas.
Police say she went on a date with Strickland.

They went for a swim in a popular pool and then ate together.
After the date, Wilson returned to the house she was living in.
Minutes later, he was shot. Police say Armstrong knew about the date because she was following Wilson.
According to police, the ring camera video shows the suspect’s car outside the house at the time of the murder.
Meanwhile, the ruthless murder of a rising star has shocked the cycling world.
A friend said, “I’m so shocked, I got really sick. Moria explained the best parts of the game. Everyone was really excited to see where she was going.”
Strickland says he is cooperating with the search for Armstrong.
“There is no way I can adequately express the regret and torture I feel about my proximity to this horrific crime,” Strickland said.
Just last month, Wilson won a major race in California, and has planned to race all summer, including a race in East Africa.
Armstrong’s family says he is innocent. “She wouldn’t do anything like that,” he said in a statement.

Brandon Fila, along with US Marshals, said that on any given day, three to 10 agents are assigned to the case and are actively searching for Armstrong. He just said, the “key ingredient” that could help investigators figure out where the 2012 black Jeep Grand Cherokee is. The vehicle was listed on the arrest warrant with the Texas license plate number LDZ5608.
“You put it out to the public to generate some sort of tip, because a lot of times in these checks, they can leave that vehicle in the shopping center,” the deputy US marshal said. “But at midnight, that shopping center is left empty. So maybe this is the key to giving us that direction of travel.
