Junior Tafa will step in on just a day’s notice to fight Marcos Rogerio de Lima in a heavyweight bout at UFC 298 on Saturday. The man Tafa is replacing? His own brother, Justin Tafa, withdrew from the contest on Friday morning.

During the official weigh-in on Friday at 9:14 a.m. local time, the UFC announced that Justin Tafa has been ruled out of the bout against Rogerio de Lima due to injury. After promotion, got a chance to work on Sibling Switcheroo.

Rogério de Lima eventually accepted Junior Tafa as his new opponent, and Junior Tafa successfully weighed in (249 pounds) at 10:55 a.m., just five minutes before the weigh-in window closed. The heavyweight nontitle limit is 266 pounds. The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) did not take issue with the unconventional change.

The 27-year-old Jrue was scheduled to fight Carl Williams on March 23 on the UFC Fight Night card. The New Zealand native is coming off a first-round knockout against Parker Porter in August. 30-year-old Justin is unbeaten in four consecutive matches.
