With 25 seconds left in the first half on the Chargers’ own 41-yard-line, Herbert peeled off the right for a bootleg and launched a bomb that fell into the hands of wide receiver Jalen Gayton for a touchdown. It seemed that even the camera man could not believe that Herbert was throwing the ball so far down.
It’s an absolute penny on a deep long ball on what is officially a 59-yard touchdown pass. How many quarterbacks can make that throw alive? I’m honestly not sure anyone else can.
