Herbert became the Chargers starting quarterback in the second game of his rookie year after Tyrod Taylor suffered a punctured lung in pre-game. He remained the starter for the rest of the season and set several rookie statistical records, including the most touchdown passes and the most 300-yard games, and was named the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year as a result.

Haircut:

Make no mistake that Herbert’s longer hair was much more befitting a look to him than Tom Brady’s unfortunate mid-length hair era or Aaron Rodgers’ John Wick look.

Much like when Clark Kent puts on his glasses, Herbert looked like an entirely different human being after an (unfortunate) haircut robbed him of his mature, cologne-model look and de-aged him about 10 years.
