Week 2
Like other injured Tampa Bay receivers, Jones’ injury situation will be one to keep an eye on top of in Week 2. If he’s able to play with Godwin exclusively in New Orleans, he might be worth being in your starting lineup should his target share increase. Russell Gage is also at risk of being ruled out of the game due to his own hamstring injury, so keep an eye out for injury reports coming from Tampa Bay.
Fantasy week 2
Rodgers spent all of the offseason calling Lazard his No. 1 receiver, which is understandable, and it should be showing at home this week. I’m excited to have Lazard back, and he has a top-20 receiver for Fantasy Managers in Week 2.
Every Friday, you can find this column on Sleepers and DFS plays on DraftKings and FanDuel. I’m also going to include our Friday show notes from Fantasy Football Today on CBS Sports HQ, which gives a game-by-game breakdown, starts, sits, favorite props and favorite DFS plays. This will help you with some lineup decisions each week.
Out
Join a long list of injured WRs Jones was ruled out of Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury. Given the history of Impact Jones, it’s hard to know.
Since news broke that wide receiver Julio Jones was signing a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the sports world has been on fire with discussions about the star wide receiver’s viability and how much he is on the Buccaneers. will make a positive impact.
More than anything, the conversation around Jones has focused on his health, which has been a major issue for him over the past few seasons. Concerns about Jones’ health are not unfounded. Since 2020, Jones has missed several games due to a hamstring injury.
