A former Wyoming Cowboys standout, Allen was selected seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by Buffalo. Since joining the Bills, he has become the face of the franchise, leading the team to six playoff appearances, five straight division titles, seven postseason wins, and two trips to the AFC Championship Game.

The Buffalo Bills have secured their franchise quarterback for the long haul, signing NFL MVP Josh Allen to a record-breaking six-year, $330 million extension through the 2030 season, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday. The deal includes a staggering $250 million in guaranteed money, the highest total ever given to an NFL player, surpassing Deshaun Watson’s $230 million guarantee from the Cleveland Browns.

Previously under contract through 2028, Allen will be 34 when the final year of this extension kicks in. The new deal also catapults him from the 14th-highest average annual salary among quarterbacks ($43 million) to tied for second at $55 million per year—trailing only Dak Prescott, who leads the league with a $60 million annual average.
