Salary:
Kuminga will join Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix in this professional-pathway program.
We’ll see how well this setup, run by Brian Shaw, prepares young players for the NBA. But the money is nice. Kuminga ($500,000), Green ($500,000), Todd ($250,000) and Nix ($300,000) have approximate salaries that wouldn’t be allowed by the NCAA cartel system.

The Golden State Warriors added athleticism to the wing on Thursday when they selected Jonathan Kuminga with the No. 7 overall pick of the 2021 NBA draft. They later added Moses Moody of Arkansas with the No. 14 overall selection.
Vertical:
Jonathan Kuminga got off to a fast start in his G League career but then hit a bit of a wall and had some inconsistent play down the stretch. He finished the season with averages of 15.8pts, 7.2rbs and 2.7asts on less than stellar shooting slips of 39/25/63. He also averaged 2.6 turnovers per game while showing some of the inexperience and lack of polish we expected.
Scouting Report:
Nineteenth century French author Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr famously coined the phrase “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”
Upon embarking on one of the more critical off-seasons in recent franchise history, the Orlando Magic organization is once again finding itself in a familiar situation: change (and lots of it).
